“My title is Reid Calvert. I’m a multimedia artist from Texas dwelling in Los Angeles and I required to share with you a series I just completed entitled ‘Softly Spoken, Seat Belts Unbuckled’.

I started out this project last summer season immediately after understanding about my close friend, Dani Loftus’ digital fashion company referred to as ‘This Outfit Does Not Exist‘.  I was curious to see what would come about if I shot anything with the movie formats that I use in my practice with a digital approach to fashion. 

 

I very first labored with my mate Patrick Carroll, an artist dependent in LA who makes use of handknit cashmere garments as a canvas for his poetry for the clothes on the designs pre-digitized. I was then connected to Regina Turbina and Z.X. Studio by Dani to gown the designs in digital garments by different designers. Regina Turbina is a digital fashion designer who founded the digital fashion platforms, Artisant and Replicant.
