Hattiesburg Alliance for Public Art unveiled ‘We Are the Future’ education mural
HATTIESBURG, Pass up. (WDAM) – The Hattiesburg Alliance for Community Artwork (HAPA) unveiled a mural situated throughout the avenue from Hawkins Elementary school.
The mural titled “We are The Future” was created by Miami artist Sergio Arce, who was chosen for the challenge by way of a aggressive contact for artists.
According to Arce, the mural focuses on the value of education and learning, community and variety. He also employed his like for the subject matter of science to layout the chemistry concept of the artwork.
“I have a science track record before I grew to become a full-time artist. I was working in the health-related discipline,” reported Arce. “Chemistry, biology and anatomy have always been my favored subjects. This 25 ft by 80 ft wide piece of artwork is Arce’s first mural in the Hattiesburg region.
